Who we are
A trust built to answer the needs in front of it
Santhwanam City Charitable Trust was formed on 5 August 2020 by four founders in Thrissur, with a corpus of ₹11,500 and a straightforward purpose: provide real assistance in social, cultural, educational and charitable work.
The trust deed sets out seventeen distinct objectives, from running schools and funding scholarships to building public wells and standing up relief work during floods and epidemics. What connects them is a refusal to treat need as somebody else's problem.
Rooted in the Muslim community of Thrissur and working alongside Kerala Muslim Jamaath, the trust extends its help to whoever needs it. Every activity is governed by the Board of Trustees, and accounts are placed before the Trust Council every year for approval.
