SANTHWANAM CITYCHARITABLE TRUST

About us

A charitable trust registered in Thrissur, working since 2020

Formed by four founders with a corpus of ₹11,500 and a deed that commits the trust to seventeen distinct areas of social, educational and charitable work.

Our founding

Formed to provide assistance, not to administer it

On 5 August 2020, four founders — Adv. P.U. Ali, Sayyid Fazal Aidaroozi, Muhammed M.S., Sathar P.K. — executed a trust deed before the Sub Registrar at Thrissur. Their stated reason was plain: society needed an organisation able to provide assistance and cooperation in social, cultural, educational and charitable work, and nobody was going to form it for them.

The trust began with a working capital of ₹11,500 and no property of its own. What it had instead was a council of 23 trustees drawn from across Thrissur district — teachers, doctors, engineers, advocates and businesspeople — and a deed detailing exactly what the money was for.

That deed remains the trust's working document. The 7 areas of work described on this site are not a mission statement written after the fact; each one maps to lettered clauses in the registered objectives.
